ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIPS

AFM Associate Membership gives organisations that support the mutual sector opportunities to become more involved in its future success. We already have a diverse range of associate members, including investment managers, legal advisers, consultancies, reinsurers, business consultancies and PR agencies.

Our aim is to develop reciprocal benefits between the trade body, its members and associate members. This is an opportunity to enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits that are traditionally only available to the full members of a trade organisation.

AFM provides detailed responses to Government and to UK and EU regulators on issues that have a material effect on mutuals.

Networking opportunities with other financial mutuals
You will be invited to participate in regular networking opportunities through the year.

Access to the member section of the AFM website
Get valuable financial and background information about the sector and discover how the AFM is working to promote the interests of our members.

Listing as an Associate Member on the AFM website
Your active support for the sector will be demonstrated by a listing on the website and link to your own web pages.

Opportunities to submit articles and other content to AFM publications
You’ll be encouraged to write articles for AFM publications and to explain to members the services you provide.

Discount as an exhibitor at AFM conference, plus first choice of stands
Associate Members receive an advance invitation to the AFM Conference and an opportunity to book one of the best located exhibition stands at a discount.

First choice of sponsorship opportunities
You’ll be given various opportunities to sponsor events, including the AFM conference.

Opportunities for joint branding and promotion e.g. for training seminars
We’re always happy to work with Associate Members on the development of jointly branded events and resources.

Associate Membership restrictions

Associate Members do not gain voting rights at the AFM Annual General Meeting. Whilst Associate Members can contribute to debate around the future direction of the organisation, they will not unduly influence it.

The annual subscription for associate membership is currently £5,000. Membership runs from 1 July to the following 30 June.
