mutual needs, mutual solutions:
Engage Mutual launches ‘engage with you’
Engage Mutual has introduced a strategy to be rolled out over the next few years that seeks to ensure the organisation will be even more relevant to its customers and make a genuine difference to people’s lives. Its first execution - engagewithyou.com,a community website, has just launched.
Designed around the needs of the sandwich generation that is juggling a frenetic range of priorities in their busy lives – typically supporting their elderly parents and helping their children make a start in life - engagewithyou.com provides information signposts, support, and an environment where those who have challenges and experiences in common can share and help each other.
“We want to continue to develop a customer community business – online and beyond – in which the members will interact and actively support each other. It’s a natural evolution for a friendly society, where people who share something in common are stronger together, protected and supported in a mutual community designed to serve their and their families’ needs,” explained chief executive, Andrew Haigh.

The website’s first focus is on the challenge of providing a range of support and care for an elderly relative. It is a struggle faced by 2.4 million people in Britain who juggle varying levels of care provision with responsibility for their own children.
“We have begun by listening, and we will continue to listen to the needs of what we believe to be an overlooked generation,” continues Andrew Haigh. “Feedback from many of our customers in this situation is that they are struggling. There is no shortage of lobbying on behalf of the elderly and there has been plenty of attention focused on Britain’s young. But not so for the people in the middle, the heart of the family, for whom we are providing a place to connect, and an opportunity to share experiences with like-minded people and get help in addressing the big questions they face.”
Visit www.engagewithyou.com to see others’ stories, share experiences, get free independent information and discover what support is currently available to help make balanced and informed decisions around the care of an elderly relative.

Notes:

This new venture for customer owned financial services provider Engage Mutual, will see it provide an environment for people to connect, help, and support each other.
